This space will be used for reviews and recommendations of homeschool curriculum, programs, websites, and the like. These will be based primarily on our personal experiences with a given product.
I have three VERY different learners here.
For math we primarily use http://www.mathmammoth.com/, though I also strongly considered Singapore.
For science this year we are using Magic School Bus as a framework for one kiddo (http://cornerstoneconfessions.com/2015/07/magic-school-bus-lesson-plans-free-printable.html) and a chemistry program for the other big kid (http://ellenjmchenry.com/product/the-elements-digital-download/ ) Next year we will be using http://www.pandiapress.com/publications/real-science-odyssey/
For vocabulary/ spelling/ language arts/ reading comprehension we’ve used a variety of approaches. http://www.wordlywise3000.com/ ; http://www.allaboutlearningpress.com/ ; & http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/literature are some of our favorites.
There are lots of great ways to do history. I’ll recommend a couple history programs: http://www.pandiapress.com/publications/history-odyssey/ and using American GIrl fiction and nonfiction to do lapbooks http://www.homeschoolshare.com/American_Girl_Lapbook.php
I also highly recommend http://www.secularhomeschool.com/AllCategory.php?tabid=61 for a good all subjects/ curriculum comparison listing and http://www.buildyourbundle.net/ for deals on a variety of digital download curriculum programs.
